Should women who chose to be single moms be allowed to go after the father after the fact?

Good afternoon, my question today is should women who chose to get impregnated by a man on purpose go after child support from the man after the fact? In other words, the man had no idea of her intentions and is later slapped with a child support order, what do you think?
